From Local Roads to Lasting Impact
Passionate riders, fueled by adventure, embracing the open road.
Snackroads began with a deeply personal journey. Sixteen years ago, after a young family member was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at just two years old, I was searching for a way to help in what felt like an impossibly helpless situation. When she lost her battle at the age of five, that feeling only intensified—but so did my determination to do something meaningful. I turned to cycling and began raising money for cancer research through the Pan-Mass Challenge. For 13 years, that ride gave me purpose, community, and a way to channel grief into action. But over time, I felt a growing pull to make a more direct, local impact—something that would allow me to see and feel the difference up close. That’s when I discovered Tommy’s Place, a vacation home for children battling cancer and their families. When I learned they were opening a second home right in my neighborhood, it felt like everything had come full circle. I knew this was where I wanted to focus my energy. The name Snackroads was born from the joy of the ride itself. Over the years, I organized cycling adventures with friends that always included great routes—and even better stops to eat along the way. Those rides were about connection, community, and finding moments of happiness, even in the midst of life’s challenges. Snackroads brings all of that together: purpose, community, and the simple joy of the journey—while supporting families who need it most.
